Chief Operations Officer – Retail

About the role

Key Jordan is seeking a strategic Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead its retail division. The COO will oversee all operational aspects across stores, warehouses, and logistics, driving growth, efficiency, and superior customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage daily operations of retail stores, warehouses, logistics, and support functions.
• Ensure sales, profitability, and operational KPIs are met across all locations.
• Oversee inventory management, stock availability, and supply‑chain efficiency.
• Optimize processes to improve productivity, customer experience, and cost efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate regional managers, department heads, and operations teams.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Procurement to achieve business goals.
• Analyze performance metrics to identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Develop and control operational budgets, managing costs and profitability.
• Supervise new store openings, renovations, and expansion projects.
• Manage risk, business continuity, and crisis response plans.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and key stakeholders.
• Drive digital transformation and operational innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field (Master’s a plus).
• 10–15 years progressive retail operations experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in retail operations, inventory management, logistics and multi‑branch environments.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, cost control and profitability.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and large workforces.
