About the role

The Clinical Application Specialist will support the implementation, configuration, optimization and maintenance of the Hospital Information System (HIS) focusing on Clinical and Pharmacy modules. Acting as the bridge between clinicians, pharmacists, business stakeholders and HIS vendors, the specialist ensures successful deployment, adoption and continuous improvement of the system.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead implementation activities for Clinical and Pharmacy modules, including requirements gathering, workflow analysis and system configuration validation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and department heads to document functional requirements and design optimized HIS processes.
  • Coordinate UAT, integrated testing, data migration, and interface testing with other healthcare systems.
  • Develop training materials, deliver end‑user training and provide go‑live support and post‑implementation stabilization.
  • Provide 2nd‑line application support, troubleshoot workflow and integration issues, and manage incidents, service requests and enhancement requests.
  • Monitor system performance, ensure application availability, and support upgrades, patches and new releases.
  • Maintain documentation, knowledge‑base articles and oversee change‑management activities.
  • Liaise with vendors for issue resolution and system enhancements while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical or Pharmacy specialties, Health Informatics or a related field.
  • 3‑5 years of experience implementing and supporting Hospital Information Systems, with hands‑on work on Clinical and Pharmacy modules.
  • Proven experience in HIS implementation, go‑live support and workflow analysis in a hospital environment.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, patient‑care processes and interoperability standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
