About the role
The King Hussein Cancer Center is hiring a Clinical Pharmacist III (entry level) in Amman, Jordan. The pharmacist provides direct pharmaceutical care to cancer centre patients by performing clinical, distributional and educational functions so that drug therapy is safe, effective and cost-effective.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medication orders according to physicians' orders, following established policies, procedures and protocols.
- Ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective medication therapy for patients.
- Counsel and educate patients and caregivers on the correct use of medications.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or a master's degree in clinical pharmacy.
- Very good GPA or above; a higher GPA is an advantage.
- Active licence to practice pharmacy.
- Fresh graduates who graduated within the last year, or those who graduated within the past two years and have 6-12 months of hospital pharmacy experience.
- Work schedule includes weekdays, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
