Cloud Architect/Engineer – Technology Consulting (Amman)

About the role

Join EY's Technology Consulting team in Amman to help clients design, build and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms that drive enterprise modernization and measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Support or lead architectural design sessions and define target‑state cloud platform architectures using Azure or AWS frameworks.
• Implement Azure landing zones and account onboarding using Terraform and other IaC tools.
• Deliver network foundations such as virtual networks, ExpressRoute, VPN, Private Link and firewall configurations.
• Deploy and baseline Kubernetes clusters (AKS/EKS) with container registry standards, Docker and Helm.
• Apply governance guardrails, identity and access patterns, and produce documentation, runbooks and handover artefacts.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in cloud architecture or engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator (AZ‑104), Azure Solutions Architect (AZ‑305), Terraform Associate, CKA/CKAD, AWS Solutions Architect are preferred.

Required skills

• Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform (preferred), Bicep/ARM, CloudFormation.
• Enterprise networking – VNets/VPCs, subnetting, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, ExpressRoute, VPN, Private Link.
• Kubernetes, containers, Docker, Helm, AKS/EKS.
• Governance tools – Azure Policy, AWS SCP, resource tagging, diagnostic settings, logging.
• Identity and access management – RBAC, least‑privilege, service principals, managed identities.
