Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer (CBO) – Marketplace Startup

About the role

We are a stealth‑stage food‑tech startup launching in Amman, building a hyper‑efficient marketplace for local bakeries, cafés and restaurants to monetize end‑of‑day surplus inventory. We are seeking a fearless, execution‑driven Business Co‑Founder & Chief Business Officer (CBO) to own the commercial strategy, grow the merchant network and lead B2B sales from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Merchant Acquisition – pitch and onboard the first 15–20 “Local Hero” bakeries and cafés in Amman.
• Anchor Hunting – target and secure closed‑beta pilots with Jordan’s major multi‑branch food and bakery chains.
• Growth Operations – manage restaurant relationships, train staff on the platform and ensure high‑quality inventory availability.
• Fundraising Support – co‑pitch to regional angel investors and VC accelerators alongside the technical founder.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in B2B sales, account management or merchant onboarding within Jordan’s food/logistics sector.
• Established network with restaurant owners, franchise operators and store managers in Amman.
• Resilient, metrics‑driven mindset with a proven ability to negotiate and close deals.
