Community Manager

About the role

bite is a Jordan‑based food ordering platform that connects users with local restaurants and small businesses. We are looking for a full‑time Community Manager to build, nurture and engage our growing community of users, restaurant partners and local stakeholders in Amman.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bite’s social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) and create engaging posts, stories, and replies.
• Respond promptly to community inquiries and foster conversations that reflect the brand voice.
• Organise and attend local events, meet‑ups and collaborations with small businesses and creators.
• Collect feedback from users and partners, analyse basic community metrics and identify trends.
• Collaborate with marketing, product and operations teams to improve the overall user experience.
• Represent bite at community events, often during evenings or weekends.

Required profile

• Experience in community management, social media management or brand ambassadorship, preferably in consumer apps, food‑tech or startups.
• Strong written communication in English; Arabic proficiency is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to create engaging online content and facilitate conversations across platforms.
• Experience organising in‑person events or partnerships with local businesses.
• Comfortable analysing basic community metrics and feedback.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Amman with flexible availability for events.
• Self‑motivated, organized and able to manage multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced startup.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
