Construction Manager

About the role

Intrepid Acquisition Holdings, LLC (IAH), a provider of logistics, facilities management and professional and technical services to U.S. and international government agencies, is hiring a Construction Manager. The role is fully deployed to the project location and requires a DoD Secret security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Read, interpret and decipher construction documents such as schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics and diagrams, and ensure construction follows them.
• Take part in design reviews and review shop drawings and product submittals in a timely and accurate way.
• Monitor, inspect, document and advise on all projects, including troop labor construction where required, and attend project meetings.
• Prepare and submit project status and progress reports, and submit a master schedule.
• Advise contractors on escort and access issues and safeguard government and contractor property.
• Keep work areas clean, orderly and safe, and conduct regular site inspections against contract and safety standards.
• Verify concrete work, including placement and test results; monitor HVAC installation, start-up and testing, and review TAB reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering, construction technology or construction management discipline.
• Five years of construction field experience.
• Valid U.S. driver's license; U.S. passport preferred; ability to obtain and maintain a residency visa for Jordan.
• DoD Secret security clearance, and ability to work in extreme heat, dust, long hours and hazardous conditions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of building products, construction details and quality standards.
• Familiarity with the International Building Code, NFPA fire codes and NEC.
• AutoCAD, MicroStation and 2D/3D rendering and analysis software.
