Controller I – Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Controller I acts as the strategic financial leader for the property, driving financial planning, budgeting and performance analysis to support the brand’s objectives. This full‑time position is based in Amman and focuses on delivering accurate accounting, strong internal controls, and profitable business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement property‑wide financial strategies aligned with brand goals.
• Analyse financial data, market trends and forecast sales versus expenses to create annual budgets.
• Monitor actual performance against forecasts, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, evaluate cost‑benefit of new initiatives and support business growth.
• Maintain a robust accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, communicate strategic priorities and ensure accountability.
• Prepare timely financial reports, ensure accurate profit‑and‑loss documentation and support property‑level decision making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in the same discipline (no experience required).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and guide teams.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
