Credit Controller – Fixed Term Contract

About the role

The Credit Controller will ensure that collection targets set by Area and Country Management are met, supporting cash flow for the business. This fixed‑term position focuses on accurate invoicing, effective credit management, and strong customer relationships within the international air express market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure compliance with credit terms.
• Verify invoice accuracy before dispatch and coordinate with Sales to resolve rate issues.
• Review the sales ledger, allocate customer payments and credit notes promptly.
• Enforce the company credit policy and initiate “stop credit” actions for overdue accounts.
• Visit key clients regularly to address billing and collection concerns.
• Resolve invoice‑related problems quickly, escalating write‑offs to the Finance Manager.
• Plan and organise daily credit‑controlling activities to achieve targets.
• Support the growth of a new team while maintaining world‑class AR and invoicing service.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of college education, preferably with an accounting background.
• Good knowledge of the international air express market and its competitors.
• Strong understanding of DHL’s products, services, sales, billing and operational procedures.
• Excellent analytical, creative thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships and strong interpersonal skills.
