Customer Development Representative – Industrial Sector

About the role

The Customer Development Representative will drive growth within the industrial sector by managing relationships with factories, production facilities and industrial companies. This field‑based position combines customer relationship management, business development and cross‑functional coordination to achieve sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and expand a portfolio of industrial customers, including factories and production facilities.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and drive revenue growth in the designated territory.
• Identify, acquire and develop new customers and business opportunities.
• Conduct regular on‑site visits, understand customer requirements and secure orders.
• Maintain long‑term relationships and act as the primary point of contact for customers.
• Build demand forecasts using historical sales, customer needs and market activity.
• Accurately record customer, visit, order and sales data in the company’s ERP system.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing and other internal departments to ensure proper order fulfilment.
• Monitor market activity, communicate insights to the sales team and follow up on deliveries to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• 2–5 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG (non‑food) or industrial markets.
• Established relationships and knowledge of the industrial sector.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and acquiring new accounts.
• Strong negotiation, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyse historical sales data and produce accurate demand forecasts.
• Valid driver’s licence and personal car for field visits.
