Deputy Country Representative – Programs (Amman)

About the role

The Deputy Country Representative will support the IMPACT Country Representative in overseeing programme delivery for the oPt mission. Based in Amman, the role involves regular travel to the occupied Palestinian territories, including Gaza, to ensure programmes are evidence‑based and aligned with humanitarian needs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day programme management for IMPACT’s oPt activities.
• Coordinate research and data‑collection initiatives to inform humanitarian response.
• Represent IMPACT externally with partners, donors, and local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with humanitarian standards, reporting requirements, and organisational policies.
• Supervise and mentor programme staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Facilitate travel logistics and security arrangements for field missions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in humanitarian programme management, preferably in the oPt context.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multi‑sectoral projects.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to challenging environments.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian standards, protection risks, and coordination mechanisms.
