Design Manager

About the role

Umq Design Company is seeking a seasoned Design Manager to lead its architecture and interior design teams in Riyadh. The role involves steering creative projects from concept through execution while maintaining the highest standards of design quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of architects and interior designers to achieve excellence.
• Identify, recruit, and onboard talented designers to build a high‑performing team.
• Manage the full design lifecycle for multiple projects, from concept development to final delivery.
• Serve as the primary client liaison, gathering feedback and ensuring client objectives are met.
• Develop and implement design strategies that align with budgets, timelines, and client goals.
• Design and oversee efficient workflow processes, delegating tasks based on team strengths.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure seamless coordination.
• Oversee technical aspects of design, ensuring drawings and presentations meet industry standards.
• Maintain rigorous quality control, adhering to budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Prepare and present design proposals, concepts, mock‑ups, and renderings to clients.
• Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• PMP certification preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in architecture or interior design management.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
