Director, Marketing & Communications

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Marketing & Communications to lead our hotel’s brand presence and drive strategic marketing initiatives. As the primary brand ambassador, you will ensure brand standards are upheld while collaborating with Sales, Spa, and Food & Beverage teams to boost profit growth and brand exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all activities within the marketing and public relations department, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines.
• Develop and execute communication strategies, PR campaigns, and media events (6‑8 per year) such as restaurant launches and familiarisation trips.
• Oversee hotel photography, creative direction for advertisements, and production of guest and sales collateral.
• Produce a minimum of two media releases per month and maintain up‑to‑date restaurant and spa listings.
• Research market trends, financial, technological and demographic factors to identify opportunities.
• Plan and supervise advertising across print, electronic, radio, social and direct mail channels.
• Coordinate with regional and corporate offices on FRHI initiatives and manage agency resources.
• Provide messaging support for media interviews and crisis communications.
• Submit monthly ROI and media coverage reports to the Dubai Regional Office.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in marketing/communications, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, self‑motivated team player with strong interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with database management software.
