Director of Curriculum Development

About the role

The Director of Curriculum Development leads the design, creation, and continuous improvement of K‑12 curricula for both printed and digital formats. Based in Amman, this full‑time, on‑site position ensures that all materials align with educational standards and partner requirements while supporting multilingual and localized content.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end development of K‑12 curricula across print and digital platforms.
• Lead a team of curriculum specialists and instructional designers, setting priorities and reviewing content.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to conduct needs analyses and research.
• Ensure multilingual and localized materials meet quality, consistency, and standards benchmarks.
• Monitor project timelines, manage resources, and incorporate feedback from educators and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in curriculum and program development for K‑12 education.
• Proficiency in instructional design, pedagogy, assessment, and learner‑centered approaches.
• Experience conducting research to inform curriculum decisions and evaluate impact.
• Proven track record leading cross‑functional teams, mentoring staff, and managing complex projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholder collaboration.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Instructional Design, or related field.
• Experience with K‑12 education systems, preferably international or regional curricula.
