Education Project Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

About the role

The British Council is seeking an Education Project Coordinator to provide maternity cover for six months. Based in Jordan, you will support the programme team in delivering education‑related projects, ensuring compliance with British Council policies and financial procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of education programmes, handling financial administration, reporting and data collection.
• Coordinate operational project delivery and maintain relationships with delivery partners and vendors.
• Plan and report on project budgets, forecast expenditures and keep audit‑ready financial records.
• Monitor project timelines, manage workload against deadlines and ensure adherence to the British Council’s project management framework.
• Support the Programme Managers and Head of Programme Delivery with smaller budget management.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Jordan at the time of application.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
