Employee Relations Coordinator (National) – Damascus

About the role

The Employee Relations Coordinator will support Save the Children International’s mission by ensuring fair, transparent, and legally compliant employee relations processes across the country office. Reporting to the People and Culture Director, the role contributes to a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investigations and resolution of employee grievances, disciplinary cases, and appeals, ensuring timely and equitable outcomes.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on employee‑relations trends, identifying systemic issues and recommending policy improvements.
• Provide expert guidance to managers on complex employee‑relations matters, enhancing consistency with organisational and legal standards.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for senior management on high‑risk or sensitive cases, collaborating with internal or external legal advisors as needed.
• Foster strong, trusting relationships with employees and promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and respect.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in employee‑relations investigations, disciplinary processes, and appeals handling.
• Strong knowledge of organisational policies, labour legislation, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and produce clear reports for senior leadership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to advise managers and build trust across the workforce.
