Enterprise Architect / Solution Architect – Banking (COBIT Certified)

About the role

A six-month project-based engagement is sought for an experienced Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect with proven banking sector experience and a mandatory COBIT certification. The role covers enterprise architecture, solution design and IT governance so that technology solutions align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, security standards and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review enterprise and solution architecture aligned with the bank's business and technology strategy.
• Assess existing banking systems and define target-state architecture and technology roadmaps.
• Apply COBIT principles to strengthen IT governance, risk management, controls and compliance.
• Design and evaluate banking technology solutions, system integrations and application architectures.
• Ensure alignment with banking regulations, information security policies and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, cybersecurity, risk and compliance departments.
• Support the integration and modernization of core banking systems, digital banking platforms, payment systems and related applications.
• Prepare architecture documentation, solution designs, technical assessments and recommendations.
• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure solutions meet scalability, availability, security and performance requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect or in a similar architecture role.
• Mandatory COBIT certification.
• Mandatory experience in the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of banking systems, enterprise applications, system integration and IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of IT governance, operational risk, regulatory compliance and information security.
• Experience with digital banking, core banking platforms, payment systems or banking transformation projects is an advantage.
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
