Facade Technical Engineer

About the role

ASCO Aluminum is seeking a Facade Technical Engineer to lead the design, engineering and coordination of aluminium and glass façade systems for commercial, residential and industrial projects across Saudi Arabia. The role bridges architectural intent and on‑site execution, ensuring high‑quality, compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed façade designs, shop drawings and fabrication drawings in line with project specifications and standards.
• Perform structural and thermal assessments of façade systems and propose technical and value‑engineering solutions.
• Prepare material take‑offs, bills of quantities and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review IFC drawings, identify discrepancies, raise RFIs and maintain design intent throughout execution.
• Support procurement with technical evaluations and approvals of systems, accessories and finishes.
• Provide on‑site technical support during installation, testing and commissioning, addressing NCRs and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation, revision control and as‑built records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper or Tekla is a plus.
• Experience with façade analysis tools and familiarity with structural and thermal design principles.
• Solid understanding of curtain‑wall systems, windows/doors, cladding, glazing types, sealants and accessories.
• Experience producing shop/fabrication drawings and coordinating with manufacturing (CNC) and site teams.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of local and international aluminium systems and technical software such as ORGDATA.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
