Field Officer – Rihab (National Position)

About the role
The Field Officer will be based in Rihab and will support AVSI’s project implementation by coordinating activities with local authorities, partners and community stakeholders. Working closely with the project manager and AVSI’s partner FPEC, the officer ensures that project plans are executed on schedule and meet quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain regular communication with local authorities, associations and community leaders; lead stakeholder mapping and engagement strategies.
- Coordinate with partner FPEC on beneficiary selection, activity planning and implementation monitoring.
- Develop weekly and monthly work plans, track progress and report to the Project Manager.
- Identify operational risks, propose corrective actions and support risk mitigation.
- Supervise youth staff collecting cultural heritage data and ensure data accuracy.
- Organise trainings, manage logistics (venue, catering, equipment) and monitor attendance and results.
- Assist MSMEs and home‑based businesses to join project activities, facilitate delivery of equipment and capacity‑building support.
- Monitor MSME progress, support market linkages and assess sustainability of interventions.
- Conduct community meetings, gather visibility materials and ensure transparent communication with beneficiaries.
- Support procurement, logistics and maintain accurate records of field activities.
- Collaborate with the MEAL department to ensure proper data collection, monitoring and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with AVSI’s safeguarding, protection and inclusion standards and contribute to learning processes.
- Prepare activity reports and submit them to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project coordination, community engagement or related field.
- Proven ability to work with local authorities, NGOs and community groups.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, protection and inclusion principles.
