Financial Planning & Reporting Sr. Officer

About the role

The Financial Planning & Reporting Senior Officer will own the day‑to‑day budget control process, ensuring OPEX and CAPEX spend aligns with approved budgets and corporate policies. You will work closely with business units to monitor utilization, resolve over‑budget requests, and provide insightful financial analysis to support executive decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Validate, review and approve OPEX and CAPEX requests against budgets, policies and authorization limits.
• Monitor budget utilization, flag potential overruns and drive corrective actions.
• Manage budget reallocation, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve over‑budget situations.
• Maintain purchase requisition and order tracking logs to ensure spending accuracy.
• Perform monthly OPEX/CAPEX reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and coordinate adjustments.
• Analyse monthly financial results, conduct variance analysis and prepare business explanations.
• Support periodic forecasts, annual budget consolidation and preparation of board/management presentations.
• Identify and implement process improvements for the budget control function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting or reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and solid business sense, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Desirable: CMA or IFRS certification.
