About the role
The Food & Beverage Sales Manager will lead revenue generation for Orient Express’s luxury hotel outlets, building strong client relationships and coordinating closely with the Sales & Revenue and Outlet Management teams. This role focuses on expanding market opportunities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the highest standards of service for all F&B bookings and events.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all outlet unique selling points, features, amenities, services, policies and competitor offerings.
- Identify and target market opportunities to grow the F&B business.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients and act as the primary contact for all F&B bookings and enquiries.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Revenue Department and Outlet Managers to promote special events and occasions.
- Achieve individual hotel F&B sales targets by cultivating and maintaining customer relationships through calls, site visits, and face‑to‑face meetings.
- Respond to all incoming requests within 24 hours to avoid complaints and loss of business.
- Monitor account revenue, maintain an up‑to‑date account and contact database in the property management system, and produce end‑of‑month production reports.
- Provide regular updates on event negotiations and progress to the Director of Food & Beverage.
- Research market conditions, review competition and suggest new selling strategies.
- Participate in training and development programs and operate in a safe, environmentally friendly manner.
- Conduct site inspections with prospective and existing clients and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
Required profile
- Proven sales experience in the hospitality or luxury hotel sector.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage outlets and competitive landscape.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship‑building and communication skills.
- Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to respond quickly to enquiries.
- Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of producing accurate sales and revenue reports.
- Willingness to work onsite in a luxury hotel environment.
Required skills
- Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) for account and revenue tracking.
- Proficiency in using communication technology platforms for client correspondence.
- Ability to generate and analyse sales reports.
