Food Services Shift Lead

About the role

The Food Services Shift Lead oversees daily food service operations, ensuring safe handling, storage, and distribution of subsistence and water supplies. This position supports the DFAC and storeroom supervisors and monitors local national employees and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct food handling, storage, receiving, and transferring in strict compliance with the Tri‑Service Food Code and HACCP procedures.
• Assist the DFAC Supervisor with cooking, food preparation, baking, serving, and replenishing meals.
• Escort and monitor local national employees and vendors during subsistence and water deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and professional work environment.
• Safeguard government and contractor property, including equipment and tools.
• Accurately complete time‑reporting and timesheets.
• Comply with AFI 34‑239, AFMAN 34‑240, and related regulations.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree preferred).
• One year of related experience may substitute for one year of education.
• Valid U.S. passport and U.S. or local driver’s license.
• Current U.S. SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification (up to 10 K) and to drive manual‑transmission vehicles.
• Current Serve‑Safe certification or ability to obtain and maintain it.
