Formulator – Pharmaceutical R&D

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Formulator to join our Research & Development team. The role involves developing, optimizing, scaling‑up, documenting and supporting the lifecycle of pharmaceutical products in line with quality, cGMP, GLP and ICH requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct new product development activities, including physical and chemical characterization of reference products.
• Perform literature searches, design and execute pre‑formulation and optimization studies, and run small‑scale formulation trials.
• Document all development trials, manage scale‑up and pilot batch activities, and coordinate with cross‑functional departments.
• Prepare and maintain CTD documentation, batch manufacturing records, PVPs, PVRs, development reports and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with GLP, ICH guidelines and cGMP requirements throughout R&D activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and documentation skills with excellent English communication.

Required skills

• Good understanding of cGMP, GLP and ICH guidelines.
• Familiarity with CTD documentation and related quality documentation processes.
