General Cashier & Paymaster

About the role

The General Cashier & Paymaster supports the Finance & Business Support team at a leading resort. You will ensure accurate cash handling, timely payroll processing, and compliance with hotel policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily cash collections, deposits and reconcile hotel revenues.
• Verify cash received from outlets and departments against reports.
• Prepare daily bank deposits and maintain General Cashier records.
• Control petty cash, cash floats and related documentation.
• Investigate cash discrepancies and report irregularities.
• Process monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Review attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions and unpaid leave before payroll.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and process final settlements and adjustments.
• Coordinate with HR on salary changes, colleague movements and attendance.
• Support payroll reconciliation, expense allocation and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience in general cashier, paymaster, payroll or accounting, preferably in hospitality.
• Understanding of payroll processing, cash handling, reconciliation and basic accounting principles.
• Knowledge of Jordanian payroll, social security, income tax and labour regulations is an advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical and administrative skills with high integrity and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
