Graphic Designer – Book & Marketing Design

About the role

Al Salwa Publishers is seeking a full‑time, office‑based Graphic Designer in Amman, Jordan. You will be responsible for the creative design and production management of books and marketing materials, taking projects from concept through to final print.

Key responsibilities

• Design book interiors and covers from concept to final production.
• Develop visually compelling layouts that enhance storytelling.
• Collaborate with editors, illustrators, and production teams.
• Prepare print‑ready files and ensure production quality standards.
• Maintain visual consistency across titles and series.
• Contribute to the creative direction of the publishing program.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or 2‑4 years of experience in graphic design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing layout and typographic skills.
• Excellent command of design tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of typography, colour, and visual storytelling.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• A passion for books, especially children’s literature.
