Head of Internal Audit

About the role

The Head of Internal Audit will lead an independent audit function within a diversified conglomerate, reporting to the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors. This senior position ensures robust corporate governance, risk management, regulatory compliance and operational integrity across all business units.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a comprehensive internal audit framework aligned with governance standards and organizational objectives.
• Evaluate internal control systems, governance structures, delegation of authority, approval matrices and policy compliance across subsidiaries.
• Develop and implement an annual risk‑based audit plan covering financial, operational, compliance and strategic risks.
• Conduct enterprise‑wide risk assessments and adjust audit priorities based on business changes.
• Lead financial and operational audits, reviewing accounting processes, treasury controls, procurement, inventory management and commercial transactions.
• Assess efficiency, productivity and regulatory compliance of operational departments.
• Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, corporate policies and governance standards, monitoring taxation, labor and other regulatory requirements.
• Provide recommendations to strengthen controls, mitigate risks and protect organizational assets.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading internal audit functions in a multi‑entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to develop risk‑based audit plans and conduct comprehensive financial and operational audits.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to interact with senior management and the Board.
