Housekeeping Coordinator

About the role

The Housekeeping Coordinator supports daily hotel operations by managing room status, prioritising cleaning tasks and acting as the communication hub between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry. This full‑time position ensures guest rooms are ready on time and that service standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status and identify discrepancies.
• Prioritise and assign cleaning tasks, including rush and ‘Do Not Disturb’ rooms.
• Prepare and distribute daily room assignments to housekeeping staff.
• Document and resolve room‑status issues with the Front Desk.
• Assist housekeeping management with daily activity planning.
• Maintain accurate records of ‘Do Not Disturb’ rooms.
• Complete required housekeeping paperwork and follow safety policies.
• Provide courteous guest service and uphold quality standards.
• Perform physical duties such as standing, walking and lifting items up to 10 lb.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant housekeeping or hotel operations experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work extended periods standing, walking or sitting.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, pull or place objects weighing ≤10 lb without assistance.
