About the role
We are seeking a Housekeeping Manager to oversee daily shift operations of housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry (if applicable) at our property in Aqaba. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee zones are clean, well‑maintained, and meet quality standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction and budget goals.
Key responsibilities
- Direct daily housekeeping shift operations, including guestroom inspections and public space upkeep.
- Verify guest‑room status and communicate updates to the Front Desk promptly.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Supervise an effective inspection program for guestrooms and public areas.
- Monitor departmental budget and work to achieve or exceed financial objectives.
- Ensure staff have proper supplies, equipment, uniforms and understand expectations.
- Train new room attendants and provide ongoing coaching and follow‑up training.
- Schedule staff according to business demand, track time and attendance.
- Enforce property policies, disciplinary procedures and documentation per SOPs.
- Recognize employee performance and facilitate feedback mechanisms.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years experience in housekeeping or a related professional area.
- OR a 2‑year degree from an accredited university in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major (no experience required).
