HR Specialist – Build HR Function from Scratch

About the role

Alrabwa, a Jordanian manufacturer of vegetable oils and margarine, is looking for an experienced HR Specialist to set up and run its Human Resources function from the ground up. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the role covers HR strategy, manpower planning, recruitment, organizational design, internal policies and employee management, while supporting administrative tasks and contributing to the factory's operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the HR plan, manpower requirements and recruitment schedule with management
• Set up the organizational structure, prepare the org chart and job descriptions
• Run the full recruitment cycle: sourcing, CV screening, interviews, selection and onboarding
• Create HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook
• Prepare employment contracts, offer letters and HR documentation
• Manage attendance, leave, payroll and personnel records
• Ensure compliance with Jordanian Labor Law and Social Security regulations
• Build performance evaluation and training systems
• Support administrative activities, monitor HR activities and report regularly to the General Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant HR experience
• Proven experience setting up HR functions and systems from scratch
• Strong recruitment and talent acquisition experience
• Manufacturing or food production experience preferred
• Good knowledge of Jordanian Labor Law and Social Security regulations

Required skills

• Odoo ERP, especially HR modules, highly preferred
• Manpower planning, organizational structures, HR policies and employee management
• Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Independent work and reporting to senior management
