About the role
The Arab Women Organization of Jordan (AWO) seeks a qualified consultant or firm to create accessible and inclusive materials for the Tareeq digital platform. The work focuses on improving usability for deaf persons and individuals with visual impairments, supporting vulnerable women and girls affected by gender‑based violence.
Key responsibilities
- Develop five complete sets of accessible materials covering protection services, platform navigation, referral information, and empowerment content.
- Produce visual and video content adapted for deaf and hard‑of‑hearing users, including sign‑language interpretation, captioning, and clear visual communication.
- Create tactile or audio‑based resources for persons with visual impairments.
- Collaborate closely with the AWO team to ensure contextual relevance and compliance with accessibility standards.
- Ensure all materials are user‑friendly, culturally appropriate, and aligned with GBV prevention and response objectives.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in developing accessible content for deaf and visually impaired audiences.
- Familiarity with gender‑based violence and disability inclusion contexts.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with AWO staff.
- Proven track record of delivering high‑quality, inclusive digital materials.
