Information Management and Analytics Specialist

About the role

The Information Management and Analytics Specialist will design, implement and maintain complex information management systems for the UNMAS programme, directly supporting life‑saving mine action operations. This role combines data engineering, geospatial analysis and capacity building to enable data‑driven decision‑making in challenging environments.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications and achieve consensus with stakeholders.
• Manage and maintain the programme’s information management architecture using Google Cloud Platform (Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Data Studio) and ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Pro, Operations Dashboard, Survey123, Webapps, Geocortex).
• Oversee Google G Suite and Google Drive administration, ensuring a sustainable structure for content sharing.
• Ensure high data‑quality standards, implement verification procedures and develop related guidelines.
• Produce technical documentation, guidance, templates and training materials for internal and external audiences.
• Deliver training and capacity‑building sessions for PSC personnel and partners on information management, knowledge management and analytics tools.
• Present IM products to external partners and support partnership building and consensual decision‑making.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in information systems, GIS, data science or a related field.
• Proven experience designing, deploying and maintaining data platforms in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data needs into practical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for training, documentation and stakeholder engagement.
