Intake Assessment Assistant

About the role
The Intake Assessment Assistant supports the Central Intake Unit in managing UNRWA's misconduct intake process. Working under the DIOS Intake Investigator, the role ensures allegations are assessed promptly, confidentially, and in line with due‑process requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the CIU Investigations Officer in organising and administering the intake of misconduct allegations.
- Prepare written assessments of allegations, clearly outlining available information and any breaches of neutrality.
- Conduct information‑based inquiries and interviews while maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
- Support the UNRWA Hotline Officer in handling complaints and ensure proper registration across field offices.
- Register non‑misconduct complaints in the designated registry and provide regular statistical updates.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Required profile
- University degree in Law, Investigations, Human Resources, Management, Communication, Business or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and capacity to work under pressure.
- Excellent drafting skills in English and Arabic.
- Commitment to UN core values of professionalism, integrity and respect for diversity.
Required skills
- Proficiency with personal computers, MS Office suite and database applications.
