Interior Design Architect

About the role

PODIUM Architects is hiring an Interior Design Architect in Amman, Jordan, to join its design team. The role suits a creative, detail-oriented professional who can independently develop interior design projects from concept to detailed design, technical documentation and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts, spatial solutions and design proposals for residential, commercial and other projects.
• Prepare 2D drawings (furniture layouts, RCPs, elevations, sections, construction drawings) and 3D models, renderings and presentations.
• Manage projects through concept, schematic, detailed design and construction documentation stages.
• Create material palettes, mood boards, colour schemes, lighting concepts and FF&E selections.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP and other engineers, and with suppliers, manufacturers and contractors.
• Review shop drawings, material samples and technical submittals, and incorporate client feedback.
• Take part in design reviews, coordination meetings, supplier discussions and client presentations, and visit sites when needed.
• Support project proposals, submissions and design competitions, and meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Interior Architecture or Interior Design.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in interior design, interior architecture and project development.
• Proven experience taking projects from concept to detailed technical documentation.
• Experience in FF&E selection, material specifications, furniture coordination and presentation development.
• Familiarity with luxury residential interiors, high-end furniture and bespoke solutions is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp, with strong 2D drawing and 3D modelling.
• Strong Enscape for visualization and rendering.
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Interior space planning, joinery, cabinetry, construction methods and technical detailing.
