IT Analytics Engineer – Power BI & Microsoft Fabric

About the role

We are looking for a technically strong IT Analytics Engineer to lead the design and optimisation of enterprise semantic models and analytical capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem. The role bridges business requirements with robust data architecture and advanced analytics, working closely with data engineers, BI teams and business users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high‑performance Power BI semantic models and datasets.
• Develop complex DAX measures, calculations and business logic for enterprise reporting.
• Implement advanced semantic modelling techniques such as calculation groups and composite models.
• Optimise models and datasets within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• Establish standard definitions and a single source of truth for enterprise metrics.
• Leverage AI‑powered capabilities in Power BI and Fabric to accelerate development.
• Implement and enforce data‑governance standards, including Row‑Level and Object‑Level Security.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and BI teams to optimise upstream and downstream data consumption.
• Support analysts and business users in adopting self‑service BI and build dashboards for complex scenarios.
• Drive data quality, validation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 5‑8+ years of experience in data modelling, business intelligence or analytics engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on Power BI development and DAX optimisation.
• Proven track record designing scalable, complex Power BI semantic models.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP‑600) or Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL‑300) are a plus.
