IT Audit Senior Supervisor / Assistant Manager

About the role

KPMG is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager / Supervising Senior IT Auditor to join its growing IT Audit team in the Middle East. The role involves leading audit engagements, assessing IT control design and effectiveness, and guiding junior staff to ensure high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise planning and execution of IT audit procedures across multiple engagements.
• Conduct walkthroughs with business and technology stakeholders to understand IT environments, system flows and key risks.
• Perform and review testing of General IT Controls (GITCs) and IT Automated Controls (ITACs) supporting critical processes and financial reporting.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of IT controls, identify deficiencies, root causes and risk implications.
• Prepare and review audit documentation in line with methodology and professional standards.
• Supervise junior auditors, provide coaching and support their technical development.
• Assist managers with audit scope definition, planning, work allocation and timeline management.
• Communicate audit findings to audit teams, process owners, IT stakeholders and management.
• Support remediation follow‑up and track status of previously reported IT control gaps.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity risks, cloud, data analytics, AI and automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, AI, Accounting or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT audit, technology risk, controls assurance or related areas.
• Strong technical knowledge, professional judgment and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• General IT Controls (GITCs) testing and review.
• IT Automated Controls (ITACs) testing and review.
• Understanding of cloud environments, data analytics, AI and automation.
