IT Coordinator

About the role

The IT Coordinator will support Marriott International’s hotel operations in Amman by managing technology installations, upgrades, and day‑to‑day technical issues. This role ensures that all IT equipment and telephone systems function reliably to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate installations, moves, additions, changes, and enhancements of IT equipment.
• Enter commands and activate controls on computers, peripherals, and PBX/telephone switchboard systems.
• Troubleshoot non‑routine hardware, software, and guest internet access problems.
• Analyze processes, recommend improvements, and implement efficiency initiatives.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of technology devices.
• Secure computer and telephone rooms using the interrogated key system.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
• Provide courteous guest service and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Perform visual inspections of tools and equipment and handle objects up to 10 lb.
• Use POS systems for information entry and retrieval.
• Assist with any other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of related IT work experience.
• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No supervisory experience needed.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Experience with PBX telephone systems.
• Familiarity with Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems.
