IT Enterprise Analytics Specialist

About the role

A leading global pharmaceutical company is looking for an experienced Data Engineer / BI Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data platforms that enable analytics, reporting and data‑driven decision‑making. The role focuses on data ingestion, transformation, modeling and analytics enablement, with a strong emphasis on Python‑based data engineering and modern data architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming and serving structured and semi‑structured data.
• Implement data transformation logic using Python and distributed processing frameworks.
• Create and maintain analytical data models (dimensional, star and snowflake schemas) optimized for reporting.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, performance and consistency across the platform.
• Build and maintain semantic/analytical models to support enterprise reporting and self‑service analytics.
• Collaborate with analysts, data engineers and business stakeholders to deliver trusted datasets and metrics.
• Produce clear technical documentation covering data models, transformation logic and pipeline designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, data engineering or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of BI development experience and 3+ years of cloud‑based BI development experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to analyse complex data and implement security/authorization frameworks.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Python for data engineering and analytics.
• SQL and analytical query optimisation.
• Data warehousing concepts (ETL/ELT, fact and dimension modeling).
• Design of star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Azure.
• Understanding of lakehouse, data lake and streaming vs batch architectures.
• Power BI for reporting and dashboarding.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD concepts applied to data pipelines.
