Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Amman, Jordan, supporting the financial operations of ALBASEM Hotel Apartments and related entities. You will work closely with operations and front‑office teams to ensure accurate financial recording and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with day‑to‑day financial operations, including recording transactions and preparing journal entries.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, reconcile bank and account statements, and help prepare periodic financial reports.
• Coordinate with operations and front‑office teams to validate revenue and expenses and assist with budget tracking.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards, support audits and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes.

Required profile

• Strong foundational accounting skills, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with accurate data‑entry and analysis capabilities.
• Understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes, invoicing, and expense documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; internship or junior‑level experience in accounting or hospitality is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is an advantage.
