Junior Architect - Architecture & Interior Design

About the role

PODIUM Architects is hiring a Junior Architect for its design team in Amman, Jordan. The role suits a motivated professional with a strong passion for architecture and interior design, who can contribute through 2D drafting, 3D modeling, visualization and design development. The required experience is 2-3 years.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural and interior design concepts, proposals and spatial solutions
• Prepare 2D drawings (plans, elevations, sections, detailed drawings) and technical documentation
• Create 3D models, renderings and visualizations
• Assist with concept, schematic, detailed design and construction drawing packages
• Develop interior proposals, including space planning, furniture layouts, materials and finishes
• Prepare presentations, mood boards, material boards and diagrams
• Research trends, materials and furniture; incorporate client feedback and revisions
• Coordinate with senior architects, designers, engineers and consultants, and take part in design reviews and meetings
• Support project submissions, proposals and design competitions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering
• 2-3 years of professional experience in architectural or interior design
• Strong design sensibility, spatial awareness and creative problem solving
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication, collaboration and teamwork skills

Required skills

• AutoCAD and SketchUp, with accurate technical drawings and 3D models
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Rendering software such as Enscape
• Understanding of architectural and interior detailing, materials and construction documentation
