Junior Procurement Assistant – Support Purchasing Operations

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Procurement Assistant to support our purchasing operations. The role will help source goods and services, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely invoice processing in line with organisational policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in procuring goods and services according to organisational policies and donor regulations.
• Request and review quotations, compare costs, specifications and delivery timelines, and draft supplier recommendations.
• Prepare, process and obtain approvals for purchase orders while maintaining accurate records.
• Track purchase orders and deliveries, addressing delays to ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Maintain organized procurement documentation, including contracts, delivery notes and invoices.
• Coordinate with Finance to reconcile and close procurement‑related invoices.
• Liaise with internal departments to identify needs and provide timely procurement support.
• Source raw materials, packaging and consumables for FMCG production, ensuring quality and availability.
• Manage end‑to‑end supplier invoice processing and ensure complete supporting documentation.
• Monitor supplier delivery schedules to prevent stockouts or production delays.
• Build and maintain positive vendor relationships to ensure reliability, quality and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Strong written and spoken English and Arabic.
• 0–2 years of procurement experience, preferably in retail or FMCG.
