Kindergarten Teacher

About the role

The Kindergarten Teacher will join a SABIS school and deliver the SABIS curriculum to young learners, fostering a supportive and engaging classroom environment. The role focuses on implementing the SABIS teaching methods and point system to help students achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Teach kindergarten classes using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss disciplinary and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS Point System to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Proctor exams and ensure a well‑managed test setting.
• Provide guidance and motivation to low‑performing students.
• Support external exam preparation through structured revision sessions.
• Perform additional duties such as student testing, substitute teaching, lunch and bus organization, traffic control, and other administrative tasks.
• Participate in student life activities, coordinating with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS system.
• Undertake other related projects as assigned by school management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience, preferably in early childhood education.
• Professional behavior, ethical conduct, and strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results and take ownership.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
