About the role
Operating equipment that shapes garments and removes wrinkles. As a laundry presser you run a laundry press that uses chemicals or steam to remove wrinkles and shape client and staff clothing.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure press settings are accurate to avoid damaging garments.
- Adjust temperature according to fabric type and use covering cloths to prevent scorching.
- Manage equipment to ensure chemicals and moldings produce wrinkle‑free garments.
- Prepare clothes for pick‑up by hanging or folding.
- Attend training courses and observe health and safety matters.
Required profile
- High school diploma, vocational training and/or 1 year work experience.
- Fluency in local language essential; basic English desirable.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
- Previous experience in luxury hotel desirable.
Required skills
- Operation of laundry press equipment.
- Temperature adjustment for different fabrics.
