About the role

Marriott International is seeking a full‑time Lifeguard to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests at its pool facility in Amman. The successful candidate will monitor swimmers, respond to emergencies, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Use appropriate rescue techniques to assist swimmers in distress.
• Observe the pool area for hazardous conditions, unsafe activities, and struggling guests.
• Enforce facility rules and promote a safe, fun environment.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, towels, and surrounding areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Welcome guests, ensure professional appearance, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Perform routine visual inspections of equipment and tools.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lb unassisted and heavier items with assistance.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, run, and perform rescues for extended periods.
• Comfort working on slippery, uneven surfaces and climbing ladders or stairs.
