Lifeguard Shift Leader

About the role

We are seeking a Lifeguard Shift Leader to oversee pool safety and guest experience at our Marriott property in Aqaba. The role combines active rescue duties with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor swimmers and intervene using appropriate rescue techniques when needed.
• Inspect the pool area for hazardous conditions, unsafe activities, and distressed guests.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations, and report incidents to management.
• Provide first‑aid assistance until emergency services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, towels, and surrounding areas.
• Assist guests with disabilities and respond to service requests courteously.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and report defects.
• Support team members, uphold professional appearance, and adhere to company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior lifeguard experience required, but a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to work full‑time shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
