Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time, onsite position ensures a safe environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire life‑safety systems.
• Lock and unlock property entrances as required.
• Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and report safety issues.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact emergency services.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies and defuse disturbances.
• Complete incident reports and daily shift summaries.
• Escort unwelcome persons and handle vehicle accident or theft scenes.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security and loss‑prevention documentation.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unaided.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and professional demeanor.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Commitment to follow company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
