Machine Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Machine Design Engineer to join our R&D team in Jordan. The role focuses on designing, developing and improving custom machinery and equipment that support Eon Dental’s specialised production lines for clear aligners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop custom machines, equipment, assemblies and components to enhance automation, efficiency and scalability.
• Lead machine‑design projects from concept through prototyping, testing, validation and deployment.
• Create detailed technical drawings, specifications and documentation that meet production requirements and safety standards.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, HSE, technology, product, IP, vendors and contractors to resolve operational and design challenges.
• Assess existing machinery, propose improvements to increase performance, reduce downtime and boost capacity.
• Source materials, components and technical solutions required for machine construction.
• Coordinate design changes and modifications with internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay informed on automation, robotics and machine‑design trends to identify innovation opportunities.
• Support hands‑on assembly, testing, troubleshooting and technical validation as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical/Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Strong mechanical design thinking.
• Hands‑on technical understanding of machinery and equipment.
• Ability to create detailed drawings and specifications aligned with safety standards.
