Maintenance Technician – Guest Services

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that guest rooms and hotel facilities remain safe, functional, and comfortable. You will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and support the overall operation of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions promptly.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually; identify and operate shut‑off valves for utilities.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and thorough clean‑up after work.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components, plumbing fixtures, HVAC filters, lighting, and guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping‑related inventory, and perform landscaping and sprinkler repairs.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to the next shift using approved communication tools.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb independently and heavier items with assistance.
• Strong adherence to safety, security, and company policies.
• Professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
