Managing Director – Transportation & Logistics

About the role

The company is launching a temperature-controlled transportation and logistics business focused on pharmaceutical and healthcare cargo. As Managing Director you will own the end-to-end strategy, build the operational platform and drive rapid growth across Saudi Arabia and the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the business plan for a new pharma-focused logistics venture.
• Establish and manage temperature-controlled fleet, warehouse networks and airport/seaport cargo operations.
• Lead cross-functional teams in operations, commercial, finance and compliance to ensure service quality and profitability.
• Develop relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, regulators and key stakeholders.
• Monitor financial performance, optimise cost structures and report to the board.
• Scale the business model across the GCC while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role such as Managing Director, CEO, General Manager or COO.
• Strong background in transportation, logistics, fleet management or supply-chain operations.
• Proven record of launching or scaling transportation businesses and delivering profitable growth.
• Excellent commercial, financial and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Experience in the GCC market is highly desirable.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
