Mid-Level Assistant Special Security Representative

About the role

This position supports the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Energy (DOE) security programs by coordinating and monitoring sensitive information, ensuring compliance with government and corporate security policies, and protecting classified data.

Key responsibilities

• Implement policies, procedures, and training to safeguard information, personnel, property, and facilities from unauthorized disclosure or threats.
• Develop and maintain security plans, access controls, badge systems, and clearance records in line with DCID 1/12 and AR 25-50 standards.
• Conduct surveys of industrial facilities to assess eligibility for handling classified material and orient contractors to security requirements.
• Evaluate background information of employees and candidates for access to classified sites.
• Resolve security‑related issues with industry officials and adjust plans based on cost, alternative methods, and existing programs.
• Provide guidance and training to facility personnel on espionage, sabotage, and overall security awareness.

Required profile

• Associate degree or four years of DoD experience with strong related skills.
• At least four years of experience in compartmented DoD/IC programs.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Proven ability to work with customers and provide special security support.
• Thorough familiarity with all security clearance processes and working knowledge of AR 25-50.
