Operations Analyst – Amman

About the role

The Operations Analyst will join the World Bank Mashreq Department in Amman, supporting the Middle East and North Africa region’s development agenda. This position offers a two‑year fixed‑term contract to contribute to the Bank’s mission of ending extreme poverty and promoting sustainable development.

Key responsibilities

• Help clients solve their greatest development challenges by providing analytical and operational support.
• Support the region’s mission to foster sustainable growth, job creation, poverty reduction, economic and social inclusion, and good governance.
• Contribute to the expanded regional strategy aimed at weathering crises, moving from stabilization to transformation, and unlocking the economic potential of youth and women.
• Work with the Mashreq Department serving Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria to design projects that address specific development needs through lending, grants, advisory services, and analytics.

Required profile

• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Amman, Jordan.
